Baby Scream…what is all about?
A band from Argentina, weird chords, pop songs, Beatles, greatest friends, worst friends, a lot of comedy, a lot of drama, Fender gear, Marshall gear, a lot of cigarettes, red wine, Santa Monica beach, cheap recordings, fancy recordings, solo acoustic gigs, Hare Krishna musicians, a solo act from London, Power Pop, Cheap Trick, the winter, the spring, the summer, the fall, Identity Theft, really nice people, really fucked up people, late hours, life in general……
Here's the thing.....Joshua Warfel and Recorded Recordings Records are gone, who knows where they are?!... In the meantime, please, feel free to download "Ups and Downs" and "Identity Theft" from sendspace.
Thanks to Mike Lidskin at Twirl Radio (Sacramento, California, U.S.A.) I won one Twirle award for " Best Line In A Song " The line was (or the paragraph) : “I wouldn’t care about tomorrow, tomorrow never cared for me.” “I shouldn’t care about your sorrow, sorrow never cared for me.” I’m a little disappointed with you" http://twirlradio.com/2012/02/05/2012-twirlie-award-winners-show-533-february-4-2012/
So, Jon was pronounced dead...but he was actually smoking a fat one and having a good time, anyway, I recorded a very simple version of "Secret Place" (well, actually the genius behind El Balcon Buenos Aires, Nick Schinder did...) El Balcon Buenos Aires is a clever project, Nick will be recording underground artists from the Argentinian music scene doing acoustic songs, early in the morning :
"Secret Place" it is now available from CDBaby and Kool Kat Music :
Lei parla italiano?!...Io non parlo un cazzo... but this seems to be a nice review...at least this is the feeling I get when I read "compare il salvifico fantasma di John Winston Lennon." :
" Hit and Run carries an openly Lennon-esque feel that is honest and charming, tackling that particular sound that is in a way reminiscent of Darrell Bath circa Love and Hurt "......PERFECT!!!! I love that record and I had a couple of beers with Mr Bath....loved this review by Uber Rock(U.K.)
So my good friend Melanie Perret in the U.K. is going to release a compilation album called "Uncovered" through her label "Music Out Here" (http://musicoutthere.com/default.aspx) She wanted an unreleased track, so I gave her a weird piece called "Revenge Of The Nerds" This song was written in 2008 (or 2009, I can't remember) after bumping into the devil herself while trying to buy a coffee. We didn't include the song on "Identity Theft" because I felt it didn't fit the music...it just didn't fit the concept. Now, back to reality.
And Ollie at Ok! Records created a new playlist on soundcloud...it features live recordings (free download), studio tracks, etc... Baby Scream by OKRecords
